From planning the menu to organizing and executing the event, we strive for excellence in all areas to make you look like a hero. Whether it’s a boxed lunch delivery or an elegant soiree, our goal is to make sure your guests are well-taken-care of and delighted with their meal.

Our food is always made from scratch, using our own tried-and-true recipes. We change our menu every week, and everything is made in small batches to make sure that everything has the best flavor and quality possible. Our chefs are well-versed in cooking for gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan diets as well, so there are plenty of options for everyone.

Family Recipe 

We are a team of dedicated individuals who love what we do. What sets our team apart is how much fun we have, and how close-knit everyone is. So close, in fact, that several are related! Catering Director Andrea, and Marketing Manager Brendan are siblings; Johanna, Catering Sous Chef, works alongside her husband, William. Abby’s own older brother, Adam, is willing to assist with just about anything on extra-busy days. Awwww!

About The Chef

“I am happiest when I am in the kitchen”

Chef Abby Randall has over 20 years of professional cooking experience, from catering to fine dining. She found her passion for cooking at a young age, working in her mother’s farm-to-table restaurant, Rebekah’s, in southeastern Minnesota. There, she learned the importance of using quality, local ingredients and cooking from scratch. After attending the Culinary Institute of America in New York and acquiring a ProChef Level One certification, Abby started a personal chef service in 2012 with a mission to promote healthy eating at home.

In late 2014, she decided to grow her private chef business into a brick-and-mortar establishment that offered catering and meal delivery service for her clients.

In January of 2016, The Tomato Vine officially opened its doors to serve lunch for the surrounding office buildings. The business has since grown into a thriving lunch cafe, catering operation, and heat-and-serve meal service.
